YOUTH – THE ENGINE FOR NEW INDIA
Half of India’s 1.3 billion population is below 25, making our country home to one-fifth of the world’s youth. This is India’s most pressing challenge. It is important that we as a country are able to harness this unique demographic advantage by making some strategic youth-centric investments/interventions.
ASPIRATIONAL CITIES – LIVEABLE CITIES
Urban expansion is happening in india at a speed the country or the world has ever seen before. For the first time in india’s history, five of its largest states will have more of their poulation living in cities than in villages.
As the lines between rural and urban blur at an unprecedented rate, it is important to talk about the potential that this unlocks as well as the challenges that it presents for ‘New India’.

The past 5 years have seen a change in the way india is looked upon the global community. With a stable government at the center, and a leader who isn’t shy of ushering in bold reforms, the country is being seen as a thriving, dynamic economy. With the rise of cultural nationalism, we have also realized the importance of understanding our intellectual heritage and the way forward.
The KAS (Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung) is a political foundation, with a strong presence throughtout Germany and all over the world. With freedom, justice & solidarity as basic principles of its underlying work, KAS has successfully implemented projects and programs in partnership with Indian organisations such as think tanks, government and Non-Governmental institutions.
